Student Perceptions of Skills Training Program as a Mean of Preparation for Nurse Profession Program

Introduction: The nursing profession must be pursued through higher education. Practice vehicles, such as hospitals require students to pass a skills test before they can practice. Nursing Study Program, FIKES UMM, has implemented matriculation program for who will join the Profession. This activity been carried out long time and undergone several method changes produce more effective outputs. However, there never an evaluation of how successful valuable this is students. Methods: type research was descriptive study because researcher only observed Student' Perceptions Skills Training Programs in Preparing Participate Professional Education. population all professional practice Nurses wave 20, total 50 respondents were taken by sampling technique. Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM) questionnaire appropriate measuring learning environment. Data analysis descriptively with percentages, tables, mean, standard deviation. Result: result showed that score DREEM 200 value indicated positive perception environment had preparation entering practice, including expertise teacher/facilitator. Conclusion: Students' perceptions education positive. On other hand, improve student optimal, it necessary enhance facilitators supportive facilities infrastructure.
